Hong Kong Disneyland and New World Development Limited announced the signing of a memorandum of understanding on 7 September to explore a number of joined opportunities, including the opening of Hong Kong's landmark 11 SKIES’ first boutique, enhancing transport links and the development of tourism and cultural products, with a view to upgrading Lantau Island into an international tourism and entertainment industrial park.

London's Oxford Street has been approved by Westminster Council to launch the first phase of a £90 million transformation programme, including widening pavements, redesigning intersections and planting more vegetation to improve the overall environment, to reduce street traffic and increase visitor space, with the goal of providing world-class services and experiences. The £100 million transformation, which is expected to be completed by 2026, will bring new hope for the regeneration of Oxford Street.
